Our Brides – Lauren
A Real Bride’s Experience at Alexandra Anne Bridal
Lauren & Elliott’s story began in 2017 when they met in a bar—simple, natural, and the start of everything that followed. In 2023, Elliott proposed during a trip to Dubai. While on a beach walk, he got down on one knee in a quiet, intimate setting that felt completely right for them.
Their wedding day itself was exactly what they had hoped for: timeless, beautiful, and genuinely memorable. In Lauren’s words, it really was the best day of their lives.
The Dress Journey
Going into dress shopping, Lauren had a clear idea in mind—something fitted. But after trying on a few styles, it just didn’t feel right. Keeping an open mind made all the difference, and Lauren ended up choosing an A-line gown that completely changed how she felt in a dress.
The experience at Alexandra Anne played a big part in that. Being able to browse dresses in person, take her time, and figure out what she liked (and didn’t like) made the process feel easy and enjoyable. Lauren noted that small details—like having her own music playing—helped create a relaxed, personal atmosphere.
Each fitting felt just as positive. She always felt comfortable, welcomed, and supported, which made the whole experience something she genuinely enjoyed rather than something stressful.
The dress she chose stood out because it felt different - Jesus Peiro 2433. Lauren hadn’t seen anything like it before, and that made the decision feel both exciting and slightly surreal.
Final Details
She completed her look with a veil, keeping everything cohesive and simple. Her bridesmaids wore pink dresses from Odd Muse, which worked beautifully with the overall look and feel of the day.
The Wedding Day
The morning of the wedding came with a mix of nerves and excitement. She felt it physically—her heart racing and a constant sense of anticipation—but it all centred around one moment: seeing Elliott.
When they finally did, they both got emotional straight away. It was a genuine reaction and set the tone for the rest of the day.
Walking down the aisle, she felt confident and comfortable in herself—exactly how you’d want to feel in that moment.
Standout Moments
One of the most memorable parts of the day came during their private photos in a local village, where strangers stopped to congratulate them. It was unexpected but made everything feel very real and grounded.
The evening celebration carried that same energy. The dance floor stayed full all night, and when the venue closed at 1am, no one was ready to call it a night. The celebrations carried on back at the hotel, where all their guests were staying, which made it feel more relaxed and extended the day in a really natural way.
Advice for Other Brides
Her advice is straightforward:
Stay open-minded when trying on dresses—you might be surprised
Trust the stylists and their suggestions
Focus on what you and your partner want, rather than outside opinions
You won’t be able to please everyone, and that’s fine. What matters most is that the day feels right for you both.
Overall, her experience shows that when you take the pressure off and stay open to the process, everything tends to fall into place in a way that feels natural and right.
